CNC Flat Bed Router Programmer

Horizon Aluminium Boats is one of Australia's oldest family owned and run aluminium boat manufacturers, manufacturing both the Horizon and Stessl range of boats, located at our new facility at Coomera on the Gold Coast.

 
Due to continued growth, we are seeking the services of an experienced Aluminium flatbed router operator/ programmer who is able to join our Boat building team.
 
The Role:
 
Programming 2 Multicam Flatbed machine
 
Experience with the running software, Enroute, Auto Cad 21, Rhino 6,Microsoft Office, Ostendo, Microsoft Excel
 
Capable of 2-D and 3-D modelling
 
Working to a production schedule
Preparation of jobs for delivery to router operators on workshop floor
 
Material Management and handling, stock control
 
Background in marine manufacturing highly regarded
 
About You:
 
To be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate the following skills and attributes:
 
  • Minimum Cert 4 in CAD Design
  • A genuine interest in manufacturing and building a career in marine industry
  • Reliable and committed
  • Attention to detail
  • Computer literate, in design programes and running software.
  • A current driver’s licence.

Hours are:
Monday to Friday 7am- 3.30pm
 
Overtime work available and may be required.

Boat Assembly and Fitout

Stessl & Horizon Aluminium Boats are a long established family owned boat manufacturer based in Coomera.

 
Due to continued growth we are looking for people who are keen to learn and become part of our final assembly & fit out crew.
 
Hand tool experience is essential and all in house training is provided.
 
This is an opportunity to become involved in the vibrant Marine Industry and join a business that has expanded into a new a purpose built factory.
 
Responsibilities include:
 
  • Fitting fuel tanks and plumbing systems
  • Flooring and flotation foam installation
  • windscreens
  • steering systems
  • 12Volt wiring harness
  • Upholstery and marine hardware.
Previous experience prefered but not essential. Immediate start.
 
Hours are:
 
Monday to Friday 6am- 2:30pm
Overtime work available and may be required
 
Remuneration will be in line with experience and will be discussed at interview.

Aluminium Fabrication - Mig/Tig

About the role:
 
  • Weld Transom
  • Fabricate Console / anchor wells / Cabins
  • Create jigs to improve processes
  • Experience in using brake press, saws, measuring tapes, squares etcs

Hours are:
 
Monday to Friday 6am- 2.30pm
(Overtime work available and may be required.)

To be considered for this position you must be able to pass a welding test in both Mig and Tig

Aluminium Welder - Boat Builder

Horizon Aluminium Boats is one of Australia's oldest family owned and run aluminium boat manufacturers, manufacturing both the Horizon and Stessl range of boats, located at our new facility at Coomera on the Gold Coast.

Due to continued growth, we are seeking the services of an experienced Aluminium MIG welder who is able to join our Boat building team.

Reporting to the Team Leader, we require a suitably experienced aluminium MIG welder for fit out of our aluminium boats 3.8 to 5m including the Pressed.  Previous experience working in a marine environment would be an advantage.  We use Fronius pulse welders.

Responsibilities include:

 

  • Assemble and Fit out boats 3.8 to 5m, inc  welding ribs, frames, decks, Transom etc
  • Check accuracy & quality of finished product.
  • Use equipment such as power tools, pneumatic tools, band saws, hand tools and welders
  • Produce neat and quality welds 
  • High attention to detail and quality 
  • Responsible for tools & equipment.
  • Ability to work as part of a TEAM and independently.

This position will be physically demanding and will be rewarded with a competitive pay relevant to your experience and skill level and Profit share bouns system.  

We supply all tools and basic safety equipment required.

Hours are:

Monday to Friday 6am- 2.30pm
